Phillip lower in:
Glance, I have to cease you there due to the fact, truthfully, we watched what occurred on January 6, all right? And you can make form of legalistic arguments about what specifically your client was convicted of and what he was not, [but] there is no issue that there was violence at the Capitol, that officers had been assaulted on that day. There’s no query about that. There’s also no concern that your shopper was participated in pushing back again versus legislation enforcement officers who have been doing their employment.
Pierce took difficulty with Phillip’s words, responding, “The narrative that, with all due respect to your community, in some cases has been pushed, that this was a, you know, just a violent celebration that—there was violence on equally sides.”

Law enforcement officers ended up there undertaking their work,” mentioned Phillip, to which Pierce replied, “Trust me Abby, some of the law enforcement officers have been not carrying out their work. Some of the police officers have been likely way over and above undertaking their jobs, which include unjustified deadly power, all right? January 6 is not as simple…”
