Accountability group data files attorney ethics grievances in election cases

A pair of Wisconsin lawyers are amid 15 lawyers from various states named in ethics grievances about their ungrounded makes an attempt to undo the 2020 presidential election.

The 65 Project submitted the grievances Wednesday with the Wisconsin Workplace of Law firm Regulation against Michael D. Dean of Brookfield and Daniel J. Eastman of Mequon.

The group, named just after the range of lawsuits submitted by supporters of former President Donald Trump in the wake of his 2020 election reduction to President Joe Biden, also filed issues about legal professionals certified in five other states, numerous of whom helped file scenarios in Wisconsin.

The group formerly submitted 25 other grievances in opposition to legal professionals included in the fake electors strategies and the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection.

The undertaking describes by itself as “a bipartisan, nonprofit work to protect democracy from abuse of the legal program by keeping accountable lawyers who interact in fraudulent and destructive initiatives to overturn legitimate elections.”
